View Member Profile Find Member's Topics Find Member's Posts abayham Unfortunately the millipak units are not repairable due to the potting used (that is why they are so heavy), but FSIP could supply you a new control, we may just have to get your faulty unit to program a new controller. If you are getting an OPEN circuit or a SHORT circuit, it pretty much tells you there is a fault component inside the unit. I am guessing about 20K ohms or something like that. The readings should be very close to the same for the F1 and F2 connections. Take an ohm meter and do a resistance check between F1 and B-, F1 and B+.then do the same test from F2 to B- and F2 to B+. A quick check you can try is to disconnect the controller completely. If you reversed the field connections and the problem moved from the reverse to the forward, I think you have a problem with the field transistors inside the controller. It is common for the Field Drivers to fault out in these type of controllers. I assume this is an SEM system (Separately Excited Motor).
